tray of christmas cookiesAt Dooley Dental, we are dedicated to helping our patients, friends, and family members lead happy, healthy lives. Our dentist and team members dedicate their time, talents, and funds to support local charitable organizations, community events, and our schools. At our family dental office, we are passionate about making kids smile, but not every family has the same benefits and opportunities that we do. Because we’re lucky enough to give our kids reasons to smile every holiday season, we take this opportunity to give back to families in our communities who need a little help making their holidays bright. One of the many charitable organizations our team members work with during the holidays is the Madonna House Christmas Giving Program, but we can’t meet our giving goals without you! Keep reading to find out how you can partner with us to support those in need this holiday season.

Madonna House—Helping New Jersey’s Women and Children in Need

At this time of year, what could possibly be on people’s minds more than gift-giving? Christmas is just days away, and for many of us, the gifts have already been bought and wrapped. But it’s important to remember that not everyone has the means to buy presents, much less a tree for decorating. We should not forget about the poor among us, even as we enjoy our individual blessings.

Since 1987, a local non-profit called Madonna House has been attending to the needs of poor women and children in Neptune and surrounding communities. As part of their mission to help the poor, Madonna House provides children with “clothing, juvenile furniture, toys, infant formula, diapers, small household items, and other necessary items, completely free of charge.”

As they say in their organization’s mission statement, “For many women the decision to give life and raise their child means a life of poverty. Madonna house is unique in our approach to helping others because of our total commitment and respect for all human life.”

Madonna House is a tax-deductible organization that carries its mission out thanks to the private donations it receives. Do you have the means to help such an important organization like this one? Consider giving to Madonna House this Christmas season. Giving to others is important, but especially at this time of year.

Visit the Madonna House’s website for more information, including information on when they accept clothing donations.
